I'm having difficulty upgrading my ipad mini 2 model MD350B/A.
I want to install ios 12 in order to install Netflix. I've Googled solutions and when I go into software update it says iOS 9.3.5 "your software is up to date."
How do I know what generation my ipad is and if I can update to iOS 12.

If your iPad will not update past 9 then you have an iPad mini (1st generation). This iPad model does not support any system version newer than 9. You cannot update your iPad any further. If you need to use software that requires a newer system software version then you will need to purchase a newer iPad model.
