About every 10th time the little red alert appears on settings, the only way to clear the alert on for "icloud full and can't backup phone" is to purchase an icloud package I don't want. How is everyone else navigating this wild goose chase apple sends you on. Strange you can clear the alert most of the time, but every once in a while it will not let you unless you buy their storage...

How to free up storage on iOS devices:
My question was not how do I keep less stuff on my iphone.
The less stuff you have on your phone, the less stuff that needs to be backed up to iCloud, therefore, you’ll need less storage space in iCloud.
