I have an old iphone that is sign in with an old apple id and I do not know the password. When trying to reset the password, I try signing in with that apple id but get the message "....this is not an Apple ID. This email also doesn't exist anymore. Is there anyway to factory rest the phone?

if you are the original owner, contact Apple ID Support. They will need to see the original purchase receipt with the serial number/paperwork.
