Macbook Pro won't let me split screen

Why won't my Macbook Pro let me split screen? (I have already unchecked the "Displays have separate Spaces" tab and logged off already.)

Hey JPritch16,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I see from your post that you're trying to use Split View on your MacBook Pro. I'd be happy to look into that with you.

Have you confirmed the steps here have been done?

Hello Starr.C,

Yes, that worked, when I tried to split screen on a guest user, I was able to do it.

However, I still cannot split screen when I am logged into my user. I guess that means the problem is due the settings or files in my account. Where/what should I look to change?

Thanks!
