iphone for music

Hi, I bought a new iphone recently. I wanted to keep my old one and use it for music only without an activated sim card. Is that possible? thanks!

The device can’t be transferred Hello I recently got an iPhone XS mas, each time I try downloading music offline it’s keeps telling me that the device cannot be transferred and that the device must be linked to my Apple ID to be able to play song offline. Pls what should I do about this ?

Old iPhone 4 for music only I've been using my old iphone 4 for music at my office. Today it wouldn't let me sign in and said I needed to activate it. If I activate it, won't it deactivate my current iPhone?

Yes of course you can do that.

You don't need an active simcard for the device to work
