Garageband bluetooth Audio missing after App switch! (Safari, iTunes, maybe more...)

My Bluetooth speakers stop playing or receiving Garageband Audio after switching back from Safari or iTunes (maybe other Apps too)! (I'm basically left with a muted App!)

Only happening if i play new Audio/Video on those Apps. Not happening with a simple app switch.

To solve the problem i had to completely quit and restart Garageband so far!

Help please, it's annoying!

Hi matti94a,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with your Bluetooth speaker playing GarageBand Audio after switching between apps. I’m happy to help.

To start, I suggest making sure you’re running the most current version of GarageBand by visiting the App Store > Updates.

Then, try unpairing your speakers by clicking  > System Preferences > Bluetooth. From there, right click on your speakers and select “Remove.”

To re-add them, follow these steps:

Connect a Bluetooth device with your Mac - Apple Support

Should the issue persist after doing the above, test to see if it’s present in a different user account:

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support

Let me know if that helps.

Take care.
