Single from forthcoming album not listed with album when it comes out

I've purchased several singles from forthcoming albums in iTunes, but when the album comes out, the previously purchased tracks are listed separately from the album and the relevant tracks are missing from the album itself: is the only way to correct this by manually altering the each single's info to match its parent album?

Seems a bit flawed to me!

Any tips gratefull received.

Yes, when a single is released in advance of the full album, the single will not necessarily have the album name. Once the album comes out, you can edit the single to match the album name or not, as you prefer.
