It has been suggested, elsewhere, that enclosing and using an iPad in a ziplock bag might be an efficient method of maintaining cleanliness of devices in potentially contaminated environments. The ziplock bag can simply be discarded and replaced when necessary.


Some sources have also suggested that sterilising the device using UV might be effective. Apple have explicitly stated that such treatment will damage devices - and should be avoided.
