Airdrop stuck on Receiving Off

recently, my Airdrop has stuck on “receiving off” and I’m unable to receive any file.

even when I change it to “Everyone” and press “back” and return to the Airdrop page, it is still on “Receiving Off” .

I have an iPhone X and my iOS is 13.4

I have tried reseting Network but it didn’t work.

i have been experiencing airdrop reverting itself to "receiving off", too, on my iphone xs. After two days of searching i found something that fixed it. If you are on ios13 (i'm on 13.4.1) trying to airdrop say videos and pics to your macbook,

and airdrop in finder doesn't see your phone,

or it does, but the transfer failed or sat there forever not responding,

and airdrop keeps reverting itself to "receiving off" by itself

then try this, it fixed it for me.

hard reset your iphone by

Hard restart the iphone xs by

click volume up button

click volume down button then

hold in the side button and continue to hold it all the way through the power off screen until you see the apple logo.

This allowed me to set the airdrop visibility to "everyone" which is what I wanted. It fixed airdrop from putting itself back on "receiving only" over and over and over.

Dear apple techs,

I fixed this airdrop problem on my iphone xs by hard resetting it.

This allowed me to set the airdrop visibility to "everyone" which is what I wanted, and my mac could instantly see my iphone again. thanks

Hello pedram411,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

It is my understanding from your post that your AirDrop settings are not changing. In a situation like this you may want to back up your iPhone and restore the software. Once restored set the iPhone up as new and test it. If the issue is resolved then you can restore your backup file. If the issue returns after restoring your backup file, then the cause of the issue may be saved in the backup file and you will want to restore and set up your iPhone as new again. Then add your content back to the iPhone manually. The articles listed below will walk you through the process of backing up and restoring your iPhone:
