phone is stuck on apple logo and my computer doesn't recognize the phone already tried restarting it just come back to frozen apple logo

any ideas what else to try?

I tried powering off to restart but now it will no reboot and is stuck on the Apple logo. I've followed the steps you have listed but I still can't get it to restart and it is just stuck on the logo screen, periodically screening turning back and logo reappearing. stuck on apple logo after updating I did this process as my phone was stuck on logo: Your computer will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery modebut its still stuck with apple logo
