We’ve set up our Apple TV Bluetooth 4th generation with a new Boss 500. We have to reconnect the two together everyone we switch the tv on. The system works really well but stops doing so when we stop watching tv. How can we keep the Apple TV recognising the Bose Unit just as it recognised our phones?!

If your TV has two or more HDMI ports, one of them being an HDMI-ARC port, then you can connect the Apple TV to the TV through HDMI, then connect the TV to the soundbar using a second HDMI cable (HDMI-ARC to HDMI-ARC), or use optical (Toslink).
We did that and each time we switch on the tv reverts to the HDMI PORT that the sound bar is connected to. When we select the HDMIport for Apple TV the tv keeps jumping back to the sound bar port ! We just don’t get it !
We’ve got a Bose 500 soundbar. We’ve tried linking the bar with the tv using an hdmi cable. There is only one hdmi port in the Apple TV and that is connected to the tv itself.
You may want to contact the Support staff for your TV about that. It may be TV model/brand specific.
