Weird voice while i was on a FaceTime call.

I was on a facetime call with a friend and about 2 hours into the call I randomly hear a voice from the phone saying "How can i assist you this is the operator i am talking with *my phone number*" then after she read off my phone number then I didn't hear anything but it was really odd and i'm wondering what is going on. This has never happened before. Also I did check my call history and I didn't see any recent calls out of the ordinary and I didn't accept a call on FaceTime I just randomly started hearing the voice on my phone. Please help.

Hi Az2423,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with FaceTime. As I am understanding, you heard an operator read back your phone number while you were on a FaceTime call to your friend. While it is difficult to speculate what may have happened here, this could be just a one-off incident and hopefully you won't experience it again.

However, you can do some testing.

Has it happened when you were on a regular call?

Has it happened again since that last call?

Are you able to see if this happens on a different Wi-Fi network, cellular data or both?

Did your friend hear the voice?

Do you have any other devices using FaceTime? Does it happen with them?

Does it happen with on FaceTime with other friends?

Is your iOS completely updated? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I would also suggest to restart your iPhone. Sometimes a restart can help resolve issues.

Have a fantastic day!
