Apple wifi
I need help understanding is the Apple AirPort Extreme a wifi extender or is it’s own WiFi system?

Airport Extreme is a wireless router. It can work to create a wifi network or extend one. So it is possible to do both..
The option is here.
If you extend by wireless (meaning the second Extreme is a repeater for the first Extreme) it must NOT connect with ethernet.
Also it cannot extend any other brand.. only another Apple wireless router.
