I am considering trading in my iPhone 8 plus, but am unsure how much money I would get. I went through the options of the website, but am still unsure. Everything in the phone is perfect, except for the fact that it has a slight ding on the top right part on the front glass (not the actual screen). Would this keep me from getting the full $250?

Actually you can get an accurate estimate by just going to the site. If you honestly answer that the screen has damage it lowers the offer to $20.
No one using ASC will be able to give you an accurate estimate, but I would guess that you will get a better monetary return for your iPhone 8 Plus, by selling it yourself.
