AppleTV 3 - Can’t play from apps because of two factor authentication

Hey everyone! I’ve seen other threads for how to enter the password and code to AppleTV 3. I’ve never had that issue but about a month ago, I started having an issue with certain apps like AppleTV plus and the CBS All Access app. If I tried to play an episode, I would get a prompt on my iPhone to authorize the use of my Apple ID and then I received a code. On AppleTV however the screen is just black and there is no way to enter the code I was given. Has anyone run into this before? Does anyone have a fix? Thanks!!
