I am testing some options on contacts application on Catalina and found that delete option is grayed out on some contact.
I am wondering if there is a way to delete them please.

This is the Group that contains all the contacts that are present in your iCloud account. You can not delete it. If you don’t want to see these contacts, you can go to System Preferences->Internet Accounts, select icloud and uncheck the box for Contacts.
Thank you. You are right. I did a mistake because i was highlighting the All iCloud rather than selecting a single contact.
I just noticed that I can create a new group, but I am wondering what is the point of having two groups.
I have many groups...
Family members; coworkers in a specific project; ....
It is such a good idea to have different groups for family, friends, works,....etc
but how these contact will show on my phone.
If you organize these groups in your iCloud account in your mac they will also be available in the iPhone; and conversely.
In the iPhone, you tap on “Groups” at the top of your Contacts to see your groups:
