How do I connect a 2012 Mac mini to a HD monitor?

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

The 2012 Mac Mini also has a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt 2 port, that you can connect monitors to using Mini DisplayPort to (VGA, DVI or HDMI) adapters.

Does it chime when you first turn it on?

Is the small light on the front of the Mac Mini on?

VGA, HDMI, and DVI. I tried HDMI to HDMI and Thunderbolt to HDMI. Neither worked. Do I need to connect Thunderbolt from mini to VGA? Thanks.

Will try different HDMI cord. Had already tried using my miniDisplayport to HDMi adapter which didn’t work either. Monitor say no bootable device detected. Hope its not the Mini.
