compromised card

I received a notice for an order of 50.00 gift card and I did not order it.

It is very likely that what you saw was an attempted scam. From what you say, I assume you did not provide any potentially damaging information to anyone? and did not give anyone you Apple ID password. FYI see:

 See If you see apple.com/bill, itunes.com/bill, or an unfamiliar charge on your statement https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201382
