Apple Upgrade programme

Please can you explain what the apple upgrade programme is. I want to trade in my iphone 8 which i bought in November 2017 i believe for an iphone 11. How much would this cost per month?

Trade in program is different from upgrade program:

Trade-in:--> Apple Trade In - Apple

Upgrade:--> iPhone Upgrade Program - Apple
