Hello, I've had different iPhones for many years and I'm confused with why my iCloud backup only goes back to last year. I have had an iCloud for at least the past 4 years but don't have access to my old iPhones which have been smashed or you know how it goes.. Any ideas about finding more of my iCloud back up?? Do I need to get more storage for it to show it all? Is there a chance none of my stuff was backed up even though I was paying for iCloud?

Have you enabled iCloud on your old devices, and also iCloud backup? Your devices will only create iCloud backups, if you enable this service on the device. If biCloud Backup has been enabled, the backups will be kept in iCloud, as long as you have enough free storage, and at least one device, that is signed into your iCloud Apple ID.
I just checked; I am seeing in iCloud device backups for my iPods and iPhone back to 2014.
