Google chrome.dmg for Mac OS downloaded to my tablet.

I’ve downloaded Googlechrome.dmg for mac’s like 3 times on my tablet 5th gen, and when I try to open the program I get a gray screen, which goes back to an install screen eventually, but the program is not installed. Why doesn’t the apple OS on my device automatically uncompress and install the program a web browser? This has happened with other programs I’ve downloaded on my tablet.

I’ve used pc’s for years and never had this problem, only with the Mac OS? I don’t want to go out and start buying utilities for the Mac OS, I’ve spent enough money for pc utilities for everything to do with a Windows OS to last me a lifetime. That’s why I’m migrating to the Mac OS.

Thanks, L8R

Applications for full computers, like Windows or macOS do not work on iOS devices/iOS/iPadOS.

You can only use apps on iOS devices gotten/obtained from Apple's iOS App Store.

As far as Web browsers for iOS go, there are lots of them for iOS.

Here is Google Chrome for iOS in the iOS App Store

Google Chrome by Google LLC

If I were you, if you do not want Google tracking and collecting every move you do and make on the Internet, I would choose another third party iOS Web browser, instead.

Like I stated previously, there a lots of third party Web browsers for iOS as they are all based on Apple's WebKit code.
