Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes

I'm receiving an error message which says that my Apple ID has been disabled and to contact support, but no one is answering. The automated attendant said to download the Apple Support app, but I can't download any apps because my account is disabled. What should I do?

It is Taking a Few:

Just stay on the line. Wait for someone to answer. With this Coronavirus Pandemic, lots are at home and kids are playing games. Perhaps, affecting the ratio of Apple customers:reps. (more customers calling Apple than usual, now that they have the time to do so.

See this Apple document If you see a message that says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208856 "There might be a problem with the payment method that you have on file. ... When you see the message, don't try to edit any of your account information."
