Cleaning iPad

My iPad was dirty so I try to use microfiber cloth to clean the screen. It simply doesn't work but smudges the fingerprints over a larger area.

People might think I am being a bit stupid and to leave it be, but if I don't clean the screen it will eventually get so bad that I can't see the screen properly.

MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone 3gs, Mac OS X (10.6.4), It's very cool

Also I would like to point out another really annoying thing to see if anyone can help me; on my iPhone and I'm afraid it will probably happen to my iPad overtime too, dust is a big problem, dust has managed to get in-between the home button so much that sometimes when waking the phone up it doesn't respond. Also dust manages to get into where the dock connector goes so much that one time the iPhone didn't recognise that the power adaptor was plugged in. With the dock connector I know there is probably no way to stop dust getting into it but with the home button it seems a design flaw that so much dust can get in-between it. Is there anyway to prevent these problems on my iPad and cure them on my iPhone.

I actually found a tiny little (i guess microfiber) cloth that came with an iPhone case one time. It's very tiny, about three inches by two. I have noticed that cleaning with this cloth it takes a little bit of effort to get the screen back to its original sheen. It takes me more than a couple of strokes to get the spotless, however with some time i have found it to work. 🙂 Hope this helps. Try using that same cloth again, but with a little more effort, or pressure but not too much.. 🙂

Good luck!

Wash your hands more frequently and don't abuse your beautiful iPad. Before it gets sooo dirty, dampen the microfiber cloth that came with your iMac with water only and gently wipe the screen, using a circular motion. If the cloth has absorbed much soil over time, first wash it with detergent and rinse it thoroughly. You won't be able to clean with a dirty cloth. Harsh chemicals may damage the special protective coating on the glass. The Apple case may be wiped with a water dampened sponge.
