My Mac Book Pro freezes and then cannot get back online.

My new Mac book pro sometimes freezes whenever I re-open it. Then, whenever it unfreezes it will not connect to any website even though it is connected to the internet. The message I get from the safari browser is that "You are cot connected to the internet". I always have to restart the computer and then it works just fine. This is a brand new laptop and I shouldn't be having this issue. Is there anyone else having this issue that has found a fix for it?

Hello maidapr and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you are having an issue with your Mac not reconnecting to Wi-Fi after coming out of sleep.

First, ensure that you are running the most recent version of macOS for your device. As you said the Mac is brand new, it should be running 10.15.4.
