Hello gkorakas,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand you're having an issue connecting your iPhone to iTunes. Being able to sync and back up your device with iTunes is always great, and I'll be happy to see how I can help you with this issue.

I recommend starting with this resource: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. From the location of your post it looks like you're using a Mac. If the steps at the top of the article don't help, be sure to check out the "If you use a Mac" section for the next steps.

I hope that helps you!

Enjoy your day.

Thank you very much for the response but I had already tried all of these before writing my question here.

I did every single step and even in my Mac preferences I found my iPhone under the usb tree. Although my iPhone it charges with no problem through the computer stil iTunes can’t recognize it.

thanks again for your reply
