I have an older Ipad that I am trying to wipe and factory reset due to issues. I can reset mu Ipad password and it works on all devices except this one. How do I factory reset it?

To factory reset your device, plug your iPad into your computer and open iTunes. Then click Restore iPad.

Tried that and it wants Apple ID and Password. No matter what I change my password to it wont accept it.
You have encountered Activation Lock. In order to unlock, you must use Apple ID and Password that was used to set it up in the first place.
have the apple id but not the original password. We can't figure it out to save our lives
If you can come up with the original receipt, Apple may be able to help you. There is no other way around the Activation Lock which is a theft prevention feature.
