my screen is frozen. Unable to access messages or swipe.

I'm unable to get my messages. When I touch the message square nothing happens. Also unable to swipe to the next page.

iPhone XR, iOS 13

Try these two troubleshooting methods. Perform a Restore only if Restart doesn't solve your issue.
