AirPlay doesn’t recognize AirPort Express after changing the password.

I cannot find this anywhere and I’m getting really confused.

I have an old Air Port Express that i am trying to use as an AirPlay Adapter. I was able to Do this before. The Airport Express was named Bose, but I don’t use those speakers anymore, so I renamed it and changed the password. I did this on an old MacBook Air. But now, when I try to connect to it from the MacMini or the Apple TV 2 or the iPhone 11, Bose is all that shows up asking for the Bose password which no longer exist. It doesn’t see the renamed AirPort 1 at all. However, Airport Utility does see the AirPort Express with the update name and password and AirPlay is switched on.

How can I get rid of the old AirPort Express information and make the Mini and the Other devices see the new name AirPort 1?

Network devices are remembered in several places..

Did you power off the entire network then restart in order. Modem.. wait 2min.. router 2min.. express 2min.. any other network gear.. 2min.. then computer that you wish to connect. (Apple TV don't forget.. it also has a bonjour sleep proxy that could remember the old setup).

On the computer that you wish to connect does it show Express with new name.. ? Is the old name still there with Exclamation mark?? Remove it.

Does new name express now show up?
