I follow the usual process that I have done in the past, but nothing ever goes through. Is there a setting I'm missinig? I'm connected to wi-fi, and the addresses are correct.
Also as an aside, I cannot view any new emails through the mail app. the most recent messages that show up are late february.
You first have to fix your email account. That will probably fix the photos problem. Go to Settings/Passwords & Accounts, tap on the account and delete it. Restart your phone. Then add the email account back.

Thanks. That did the trick. I'd still like to know how I can limit the number of more recent emails, but I can live with all of them.
