Bluetooth pairing - no go on iPhone 4

I have a brand-spankin' new iPhone 4 and I can't get any of my bluetooth devices paired. I can connect, but cannot pair the devices. The iPhone never prompts me for a pairing password. Devices include a Motorola headset, a BluBridge, and a Jabra Cruiser. I can use the devices, but I have to reconnect each time I turn one on or enable BlueTooth on the iPhone.

I was able to pair my iPhone 4 with my car, but not with my laptop (Macbook Pro running 10.6.4). The status shows the devices have been paired, but are not connected.

I had a similar problem when I tried to help someone else pair an iPad with an iMac running 10.5.8. The Bluetooth pane in System Preferences on the iMac shows the iPad as being paired but not connected. Tapping on the iPad, to tell it to make a connection, changes the display on the iMac so it shows a connection being made (the icon turns green, and the text says "connected") but after one second the icon turns red again and the text changes back to "not connected".

I have iPhone 4 and Jabra CRUISER. First time I turned on the CRUISER (iPhone on and Bluetooth enabled) the CRUISER verbally told me to go to iPhone Settings and turn On Bluetooth, etc. It also told me to key in the Keycode '0000' to pair the iPhone and CRUISER. iPhone 4 does NOT need to input that code, it 'Connected' fine (first time and every time) without ever inputting any Code.

I DO have an issue however, with PBAP (the CRUISER using the iPhone Address Book to read me the incoming caller's Name. CRUISER reads me the incoming caller's PHONE NUMBER, but NOT their Name - although both the iPhone 4 Specs and CRUISERs Specs say the iPhone 4 SHOULD use and recognize the PBAP Specs and read the incoming caller's NAME from the iPhone 4's Phone Book.

Anyone got a hint how to fix this?

LOVE everything else about iPhone 4 and the Jabra CRUISER...

Thank you Captain Obvious.
We tried a few codes a fair few times.
As it happens this one's preset was 0000.
But if you were paying attention to my wording, I did TRY codes.

You said "I've tried several different codes...". You didn't mention specifically that you tried 0000.

Less attitude and more being nice when someone tries to help you will enable you to enjoy your time here a lot more. Otherwise folks will eventually just ignore you when you request help.

I am unable to bluetooth connect my iPhone 4 to my Macbook Air at all when booted to Win7. I can bluetooth connect the Macbook to my HP 6530b with Win7 just fine, and the iPhone will also connect to that, but only 1 time in 20 or so. It kind of points to a bluetooth problem on the phone. I am unable to discover any bluetooth devices with the phone, when I enable bluetooth, it will sit there on Device: Searching forever, even if surrounded by bluetooth devices in the 'Discoverable' state.

My iPhone 4 is IOS 4.01, but I have tried my old iPhone 3G on 3.1.3 which is detected and connects perfectly
