iMessage attachments not showing up

Today, I joined the family plan of 200GB. I was previously on the singular plan of 50GB. Everything was working fine earlier, but now no images anyone sends me are downloading. If I go to the attachments in the chats I have with everyone, none of the pictures show up but it says “2759 images in iCloud.” It also says “Uploading images to iCloud...” at the bottom of the screen when I go into iMessage but it’s been showing that for about four hours now. I’m not sure why this is happening now since images were being sent to me fine earlier. Please help.

Hi breechrist,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you are switched iCloud plans but now aren't seeing new pictures sent in Messages or previous pictures that were sent. It is important to have your pictures available. I'll do my best to help.

It sounds like your have Messages in iCloud activated: Keep all your messages in iCloud. The speed that they are uploading depends on your internet connection. You can try restarting if you feel that the process is stuck: Restart your iPhone. You can also try connecting to another Wi-Fi network.

Let me know how it goes.

Have a fantastic day!
