See if you can get an email option. Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple ID Support. They will need to see the original purchase receipt with the serial number/paperwork.

Ignoring extenuating circumstances, activation lock can be turned off only by entering the correct Apple ID/password combination. The correct combination is the one used by the person setting it up prior to erasure. Note that there is no way we can help you to systematically recover the pertinent Apple ID password.
