Macbook pro 2017 - Horizontal black lines on entire screen.

I'm having a horizontal black lines on entire screen.


When connected to external screen, lines are not present .

lines are not present even on screenshots.


When i close the screen to half the lines are gone.


I have catalina 10.15.4






MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Usually those lines indicate a hardware issue with the Display Assembly especially if moving the display affects the lines. You will need to get the laptop repaired.

It is most likely the Display Assembly, but there are no guarantees. If the lines are too annoying, then connect the laptop to an external display. This laptop is not easy to work on and can very easily be damaged even if a person is an experienced hardware tech. In some regions it may be possible to mail the laptop directly to Apple for repair. Click the "Contact Support" link at the top right of this page to see if a mail-in repair is an option in your region.
