"not delivered" message on trying to send photo to a group

I have an Iphone Xr. I have a group that in the past, I have been able to receive, and send text messages, including photos. With this group that I belong to, and I am pretty sure some have androids (total goup is 8 including myself), I am able send text messages. However, when I try to attach a photo from my photo app on my iphone, and send to the group, I have been getting a message immediately, that says "not delivered". I have tried hitting send again, and it bounces back to me. This only happens when trying to attach photos, like I said, I can send text messages by themselves.

Thank you, looking forward to a solution.

Howdy treeguy1,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out in Apple Support Communities.I understand you're unable to send photos in a group message.

Sharing photos is a convenient way to share your most memorable moments. I'll be happy to help.

To help troubleshoot this behavior, I recommend going to Settings > Messages. You'll want to make sure that, "MMS Messaging" is turned on. If the feature is already turned on, I suggest to temporarily turn it off and restart your iPhone. Then, turn the feature back on and see if you can send a photo in a group text. If needed, here's how to properly restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone

Please keep me posted on the results.

Kind regards.

treeguy1,

Thanks for getting back to us and for providing those details.

It's recommended to ensure that the phone number for each recipient is verified and correct. This can help isolate the behavior you're experiencing further. In addition, you'll want to test this issue on both cellular data and Wi-Fi.

If this occurs on both cellular data and Wi-Fi and the phone numbers are correct. You have the option to delete the group text and create a new conversation thread to send the photo. Please let me know, how that goes.

Cheers.

I am not sure if you received my email yesterday. I do have MMS Messaging turned on. I also have group messaging turned on. I turned this off, and than turned my iphone off, and restarted it, and than once again, turned on MMS Messaging. I still cannot get a photo I have attached to a group that I belong to, which consists of 8 people, including myself. I am able to send texts to the group, but it comes back as "not delivered", when I try to attach a photo from my i phone. I am able to send attached photos to a single recipient. If one of the recipients in my group were to have a wrong phone number, could this be the problem. The thing is, I have an individual in this group that has no issues sending photos to the group. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
