Activity App Crashes When Viewing Workout Detail

Went for a run yesterday - I go to view the workout details in the Activity app, and the app crashes. No matter what activity I try to view in the app, the app crashes. Running iPhone 11 with iOS 13.4 and Series 3 Apple Watch with Version 6.2 (i7T529). Never happened until recently. I have force killed the app, unpaired, reset watch, hard restart on phone as well. Repairing did not fix. I CAN view the workout detail on the watch, just not in the app. Screen locks in the app and then crashes. No history or walk workouts can be viewed without the same result.

The workout was completed in the activity app. No third party. I have discovered if I go to workouts, and hold down the workout with force touch to open in a new window, it opens. But, if I just touch the workout to pull it up, it crashes. Seems to be ok only if you “open in a new window”.

Update: I fix this problem by turn off Settings.app -> Accessibility -> Keyboards -> Full Keyboard Access, it won't crash any more.

Same as your situation, iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.4.1 and Apple Watch Series 4 running Watch 6.2.1. Open any detail of workouts will let Activity.app hang up and then crash. But open the detail by Haptic Touch will open it normally. I tried to upgrade iOS to 13.5 Beta 4, but it not working.

Was this a workout completed in the Workouts app, or was another app used to track the run that you mentioned completing? Also, check out the steps in If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open, as they deal with exactly what to do if you notice an app quit unexpectedly or not perform exactly how it should be.

Thanks for the clarification, atomickmack.

Were you able to complete the steps in the previous post? They include several common steps up to and including reinstalling the app in such a way that doesn't affect your app data. If not, go ahead and complete those now, as it could be our pathway to getting this solved.

Did nt fix my crash problem. Using i phone se2020 and apple watch series 3 both updated with latest os

Thank you, I’ve been Getting very frustrated with this crash in activity and wondered for ages how to fix this, even unpaired, reinstalled etc. Simple advice, simple steps and it works immediately.
