I bought an ipad for my mom but set it up using all my info before I realized I wanted to set it up as though it was entirely hers. Now she has access to all my contacts, text messages, etc. Can I make her the sole user? I am unclear if I want to do the Family Sharing. What is easier?

Once the iPad has been prepared for reuse (removing all your data in the process) set it up again using your Mom’s AppleID - then set-up family sharing if you wish to share resources:

Don’t share your AppleID - as this will lead to all kinds of complications and challenges in maintaining separation and privacy.
