After installing the Apple TV4 using my iPhone settings, all the apps that I have previously purchased (and since deleted) from my iPhone were then installed on the TV. I dont want those old apps. I want to delete them, but I can not get the apps to jingle when pressing with the remote

Only the highlighted (selected) app is supposed to jiggle, not all apps (which is one of the things how it is different from iOS).
Move the highlighting/selection to the app you want to delete or move. Then press-and-hold the center of the touch surface.
