Why will it not allow us to use the Apple ID balance to buy an app from the app store? It won't allow us to use the gift card balance. Do we need to update the other method before they'll allow the gift card to be used?

Yes. I’m the family organizer. We were wondering why he couldn’t just use the credit from the Apple gift card he installed on his iPad. I didn’t want to pay with my card. Wasn’t sure if I had to verify in order to allow his gift card to pay.
I ended up verifying and it charged my card. We’ll see next go around.

Have you contacted the family organizer as the message shows for assistance in verifying the card?
Thanks. We just assumed since he has credit on his card, we wouldn’t need to verify my card (trying to make it harder for them to accidentally drain my account).
