iMessage pictures on phone not the same as on MBP

As you can see in the pictures below, even though iMessages are synced, there isn't a continuity between the pictures on my phone VS the ones on my computer. Why's that? I've got +/- 100MB left of storage (see picture)

Hi gr4v1ty,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have a concern regarding photos within Messages not appearing to sync between your iPhone and MacBook Pro. I'd like to see how I can help you with this.

Do you have Messages in iCloud enabled on your devices? Keep all your messages in iCloud - Apple Support. Let's make sure Text Message Forwarding is set up properly on your iPhone with your Mac, by following the guidance here: How to forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your iPad, iPod touch or Mac - Apple Support.

If you already have this set up, I would recommend turning it off in your iPhone settings, restarting both your phone Restart your iPhone - Apple Support and Mac How to turn your Mac on or off - Apple Support, then turn this option back on under Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding, on your phone. Allow some time for content to sync, before confirming if these steps helped or not.

Best regards.

gr4v1ty,

Thank you for confirming you have Messages in iCloud set up.

Take a look over this article: Get help with Messages in iCloud - Apple Support, which shares troubleshooting steps for missing images/attachments, and messages not updating across devices. See if this can help get both devices synced up again.

You may also want to consider freeing up more storage in iCloud, or upgrading your iCloud storage, as 100 MB may not be enough storage required to sync over the other attachments. This information is found within the same article shared above, under the section titled, 'If you exceed your iCloud storage limit'. You'll find links in this section to help you with this further, as well.

Regards.
