My iPhone 8 was wiped clean because I got locked out. Ever since I'm unable to send texts to anyone who does not have an iphone

start here If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

if that doesn't help contact your phone carrier SMS is their feature.
