How to delete recents from the dock on QuickTime Player

I'm trying to delete my recent music/movie recents from QuickTime Player when it's on the dock. I have opened the app and cleared the recents from the file menu but when I right click the app on the dock they remain. I have tried to reboot several times and still have had no success. Can some one please tell me how to remove them from the dock. I'm running Catalina 10.15.4. Thanks a lot

Hello joelafleur116,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with QuickTime.

I was able to clear my Open Recent > Clear Menu and it also removed any recent videos from inside QuickTime shown in the Dock.

Go to QuickTime > File >Open Recent > Clear Menu.

If this doesn't work, click QuickTime > Quit. Then, hold the left hand shift key while you reopen it, then try clearing again.
