Unable to download any software of my computer

My MacBook Air won't accept my admin password. I am able to login to my computer as I normally do but when trying to download and install a new software I'm asked to enter my name and admin password. I do and enter the information but it doesn't accept it, and now I cant install any software or do any changes can anyone help? Also, my FileVault is on so how I go about fixing this?
