I moved up to windows 10 and had this problem for a while now. Windows doesn't detect my external microphone, it only detect my built-in microphone, but when I switch to mac os it gets detected.
If anyone could help me it would be great!

TRRS detection by the Windows driver does not work properly on Bootcamp/Windows on Macs. It will detect such devices correctly when booted in macOS. The underlying hardware is more than capable of supporting it.
If you use a USB adapter which supports TRRS (or supports two separate connections - Headphone and Microphone), it will work properly.

Is this a wired Headset+Microphone?
Yes, with a detachable microphone. But as I said, it works perfectly on mac os, but not windows.
There is a long and checkered history of TRRS devices on Mac/Windows not working properly.
It's not a three pin jack if that is what you're talking about, it is a 4pin jack
the mic however has a 3 pin jack but that connects to the headset. I don't get why it works on mac os, and not windows on the same computer.
Will it work with usb sound card with a microphone input 1x 3.5mm jack and stereo audio output 1x 3.5mm jack?
