ACTIVITY MONITOR results for moving data off DESKTOP

i was asked at one point to take activity monitor screenshots of before and after my moving data off my desktop. i tend to keep a lot of information there because - well because i like to use it LIKE A DESKTOP and NOT LIKE A FILING CABINET.

anyway, i guess there is no way to do this without bunching up the CPU or something.

below are results for before i moved the data to four or five /folder/ that are on the desktop now.

at some point i can post results for when i move this data to the DOCUMENTS folder. or if it works i may just leave it like this and i can post results of how much data was moved or whatever is needed if anyone is interested. i am posting just DISK and CPU but i have the other three tabs if anyone wants to see them.

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

: ) seems to be much faster now. wondering if there is a need to move these to the documents folder still. or perhaps get more GB into folders and “off” the desktop. somehow there still seems to be 300GB which i suppose /also/ would make a difference if i try and think about it...
