Leaving Group chat with Android users

It is absolute ridiculous and frustrating that I can NOT leave a group chat simply because an android user decidedthey were going to included me and several family members in it. They refuse to stop the group chat, refuse to remove me, and I can not block everyone in the chat. How do I not have a say in what I’m being put it in and receiving on my phone regardless of device usage?! This needs to be updated to where others can not infringe on my rights as an iPhone user/phone user in general. Also, hiding the alert does NOT work because the messages do not stop they’re just silenced and neither does blocking one of the people because it only blocks out their messages. FIX THIS.

Thank you, but this does not remove you from the group chat. Also, it’s no longer called mute... it is call “hide alerts” with a toggle switch once you enter the group chat info and scroll down. I want to be completely removed.
