Apple Watch series 5

Is there a clear plastic covering over the charging port on the watch reason my batter only lasts a day or two at most I’ve only had it a week thought it might be this although it does say 100% charged so am baffled why

There is no charing port on the Watch. The Watch is charged by using the magnetic "puck" and it attaches to the back of the Watch. While it comes with a plastic cover over the puck, that is generally easily removed when you remove it from the box. The watch, depending on use will normally only last for a little over a day. This indicates about 18 hours of use. Apple Watch - Battery - Apple

You should remove all plastic coverings off the watch and the charger, they are only to protect the watch/charger whilst it is in transit, they are not meant to be left on the watch/charger and if they are they would probably interfere with the correct functioning of the watch/charger.
