unable to activate

i just bought an iphone 7 from my friend and it works and is unlocked. it just needs an update. i talked to someone on the phone and she said to download itunes on a computer and i cant because this is a school chromebook. im just trying to switch phones so my little brother can get a new iphone for his birthday.
