Tried to log in to the guest account and it is asking for a password

I tried to log in to the guest account on my MacBook Pro and it is asking for a password I tried removing the account and adding it but it does not work. I tried to log in with my Apple ID and I was not able to. I have never been able to log in to my guest account. I just need to remove the password not remove the entire guest account. All the information I keep getting is that the guest account does not require a password but my computer is not letting me log in

This happened on my Mac mini with Catalina. My fix:

Open Users & Groups system preference.

Click padlock at bottom left and enter password to unlock.

Select Guest User.

Uncheck "Allow guests to login to this computer"

Check "Allow guests to login to this computer"
