AppleTV and Magic Keyboard

My Magic Keyboard for my Apple TV does not work for Youtube. It works with everything else but Youtube. This Apple TV is for my parent and the Magic Keyboard make it easier for them. I tried deleting the app and re-install, factory reset on the Apple TV, and other common fixes. My question is, is it a problem with the Youtube app or do I need a new keyboard ?

The Keyboard is great for entering text and controlling the Apple TV 4K, but YouTube stands out as the only app that doesn't accept keyboard input. Oddly, it does work with the Apple TV remote, so I can only assume Google decided that they only want us to use the remote and are digging their heels in on other peripherals. Very annoying. I would assume that it's something to do with Google being anticompetitive etc but the purchase has already been made. You lost Google. Get over it, get over yourselves, and make the keyboard work in your lonely app.

Apple tv4 keyboard issue in YouTube i recently discovered that my wireless apple keyboard no longer works within the youtube app. ive tried resarting and reseting the apple tv, reinstalling the youtube app but no change. added new batteries. no change. it works in other apps. Seems to be a problem within YouTube.

YouTube app Apple TV 4K Hi, when you open the YouTube App in Apple TV sometimes the icons on the left hand side like Home, Search etc. have a 'X' instead of the actual name of the menu along with the icon. The only way to fix these for now is to restate the Apple TV. Is this a bug in YouTube app or AppleT V 4K issue?
