Appletv verification code being sent after

On a TV I am trying to sign into Appletv but after I enter my username and password it asks me to enter the verification code sent to my other devices. The problem is it doesn't send a verification code. I have an Android but my phone number is linked to my account. If I put in the most recent code it tells me that is wrong and sends me another one. I go through the steps again and use the most current code but it still tells me that the username and password are wrong. I'm confused on what to do? Any help would be appreciated.
